PROJECT TITLE: Sportinsieme – Pilot project on the relationship between sport, disability and quality of life

RECIPIENTS: Disabled people, families, network of services and sports associations in the Roman territory.

PROBLEM ADDRESSED: Operators’ training and skills development need. Problems of visibility and concrete sustainability of sports initiatives for disability. Need to act in a systemic vision on the complexity of the interlocutors involved (sports associations, rehabilitating and socializing structures, school, family, etc.). The need to understand the opinions, perceptions, experiences of disabled people and their families regarding sport, in order to measure with them the specific value that sport assumes
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT: The project aimed to promote the integration and improvement of the quality of life of people with disabilities through the promotion of sports. Project carried out in collaboration with the La Mongolfiera Day Center (ASL Roma E) and the Libertas Blue Star sports association.
PHASES OF THE RESEARCH: Sports activity for the disabled provided by the Libertas associations involved Cognitive survey aimed at relatives of disabled people on the effects of sport on the quality of family relationships Network meetings between disability services and sports associations Training of operators for disability to the skills of Sports Operator
